Myth Buster Monday: You Can't Wear Makeup with Extensions

Welcome back to another Myth Buster Monday with your favorite lash artists!

This week's myth is "You can't wear makeup when you have eyelash extensions".

This is one of the most common misconceptions about lash extensions. While lash extensions provide you with gorgeous lashes, that doesn't mean you can't still enhance your look using makeup.

Everyday look

Lash extensions will already provide you with a darker lash line and fuller look (depending on the style you go with), but you can use an oil-free, water-based eyeliner and eyeshadow to take your everyday look to a whole new level. The only thing you don’t need to add is your mascara unless you choose to use it the last few days before your next fill appointment.

Special Occasions

Lash extensions are very popular for special occasions and formal events such as weddings. They are the perfect substitute for false eyelashes as they're built to last and you won't have to worry about the glue coming off and the eyelash strip popping up. Lash extensions are perfect for creating a stunning look no one will forget soon.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that any makeup near your eyes and any makeup remover you use needs to be oil-free and water-based to ensure it’s not interfering with the adhesive. Oil-based products can break down the adhesives causing early shedding and fall out.

So as for this myth, consider it BUSTED!
